Recycle, Redesign, Reconstruct – Mango Dress
What do you do with clothes from past seasons? You can throw them away, swap them, erm sell them.. or redesign them! With some smart changes, you can just make it a current season trendy new dress!
Before: A 2-seasons-old Mango dress:

After transformation: A chic current season, trendy dress! Spot the latest fads with this redesign: mini-dress, new baby-doll cutting IN this season & graphic prints!

Work done:
1) Snip off the top part of the dress, shorten the zip.
2) Use the cut-out part to make a “V” halter neck using just a button to fasten the “V” part to the front. Makes for easy future conversions
Variations possible:
1) Create different necklines:

2) Make it a tube dress (this will likely require some tightening at the sides, just make sure it doesn’t drop
). You can also add a thick belt for effect and safety.

3) 2 straps instead of one. Or a pinafore dress, anyone? You can use a different material for the straps as well. Exercise your imagination ya

Before you start snipping away, try out the dress / skirt to ensure it is suitable for the redesign. Check out the width also to see if it fits just nice around the bust. And you’re ready to go!
Email me your works! Have fun!
